what is a shortlet apartment?

A ShortletsUK apartment is a residential apartment, let or rented out on a weekly basis. A shortlets UK apartment is fully furnished, has a fully functioning and equipped kitchen, or as a minimum a kitchenette. Serviced means that your apartment will have a light clean with a change of all linen and towels at least once per week.

how long can I stay with shortlets?

You can stay with shortlets UK  for as long as you need

how does shortlets apartment prices compare to hotel?

A ShortletsUK apartment is very competitive compared to a stay in a hotel particularly when you factor in any food and beverage costs, housekeeping and laundry costs and of course internet. Remember your apartment would be the equivalent in space to that of a top rate  suite or penthouse in a hotel.

what is included in the cost?

Your apartment rental includes all charges for gas, electric, water, council tax, television license fees and a weekly light clean and change of linen.

are linen and towels included?

Yes, a weekly change of all linen and towels are included in your weekly rental.

how do I make a reservation?

You can make your reservation over the phone or by e-mail, confirming by providing a completed booking form with deposit.

can I pay on arrival?

All payments are strictly in advance and in cleared funds prior to occupation. 

How can I make a payment?

Payment may be made either by cash (in person), BACS,  by cheque allowing 7 days to clear (address on booking form), by debit or credit card (there is a 2.5% surcharge for credit card transactions and 4% for American Express). Any bank charges incurred by Shortlets UK Ltd for transfers, non-sterling or dishonoured cheques will be payable by the guest.

there are no available apartments on the website, is this definitely the case?

We don't display our availability on the web site as we like to speak with you about your individual requirements. It is always best to ring us.

how far in advance do I have to book my apartment?

Apartments can be booked right up until the time of arrival availability dependent.

is there a minimum length of stay?

Anytime from a week or more. Shorter durations may be available, please ring to enquire.

can I extend my stay?

We always endeavor to work with our customers and can where possible extend length of stays, however it may involve moving apartments. 

what can I expect in my apartment?

You can expect your apartment to provide all you may need. If there is something particular to your lifestyle or culture please call us to discuss.

is my apartment serviced?

Yes your apartment will receive a light clean and a change of linen and towels on a weekly basis.

can I leave my luggage if I am early?

Yes we can organise for your luggage to be left if you arrive early.

Individual arrangements are made with you directly once we know how and when you will arrive.

how do I amend my booking?

Firstly over the phone so we can ensure that we can accommodate any changes , then in writing to confirm.

what is the cancellation policy

Any cancellation made by the client for whatever reason must be made in writing and addressed to Shortlets UK Ltd. The effective date of the cancellation will be the date the written instructions are received by us.  The following cancelation charges apply:-                

  1. More than 4 weeks prior - loss of booking deposit
  2. Less than 4 weeks before the commencement of the rental period, the full cost of the rental period.
can I bring pets?

Yes we accept pets in some of our properties, but do discuss this at the time of your enquiry.

how do I make a group booking?

Over the telephone or through e-mail to check availability in the first instance and confirm with a booking form and deposit.

are three bedroom apartments available?

Yes we have three bedroom properties.

are adjoining apartments available?

In some locations we have properties that are adjacent.

is it possible to view an apartment before booking?

Yes, just give us a call to organise

do you offer corporate rates?

Please call us to discuss any rates 

can I have my mail sent to my apartment?

Yes, though please let us know so we can organise for post box keys

is there on-site parking?

Yes, many of our apartments have parking available. However you must advise us at time of booking as we must provide you with a permit that  must be displayed in your vehicle to avoid fines. Shortlets UK can not accept any responsibility for any fines you recieve if you have not displayed your provided permit adequately, or if you did not advise us that you required a permit.

can the apartments have an extra bed added?

Yes, many of our apartments can accommodate flexible sleeping arrangements, please call us to discuss your requirements.

are cots or high chairs available?

Yes cots, high chairs, car seats are all available, we also have some buggies, please request at the time of your enquiry.
